What is the advantage to me?
As a member of CompassClean you and other member companies are demonstrating a higher level of community responsibility than non-members. The social proof you provide to others in the community sets you apart and instills confidence in your establishment. In addition, you have the confidence that you are doing as much as possible to protect your staff and customers.
What will Compass do that we won’t?
As professional Commercial Janitorial company with years of experience in 'Cleaning For Health', Compass can give your staff insights and training on techniques and processes as well as proper product use to insure you will get the best results when we are not present. Each night Compass will professionally disinfect and clean your entire building, not just touch points. Additionally, we will make available to you electrostatic application of disinfectants and antimicrobial sealers for longer protection periods.
What exactly does this do to instill confidence in the public?
In a word it is social proof. When the public is fearful of contracting a virus, whether COVID 19 or some other unknown virus, this program and your participation in it, is demonstrating your awareness and concern for their welfare, but more importantly you are willing to take extraordinary steps to actually protect them. These steps set you apart from others who are unwilling to take the same action on behalf of the community.
What does it cost?
There is no cost to you to become CompassClean Certified. This program was designed to support your business, whether you are a church or a school, a restaurant or salon and to promote your commitment to the health and safety of your constituents whether it be your staff, customers or guests in your facility.
How does the plan work?
Initially we will provide training for your staff on best practices and how to 'Clean for Health'. This is a partnership, you have your part, we have ours. We will provide checklists specific to your business to be completed on regular schedules by your staff. We will provide a detailed specifications list that will outline what Compass will do nightly to support your efforts during open hours. We will also provide a list for additional services we will provide either on a weekly or monthly basis.
Compass will also provide digital promotional materials for you to use strategically throughout your building and on your website that will support the efforts you are taking to protect the community. We will also provide continuing education as new processes or products become available.
What products do we need and what tools?
You will need a disinfectant capable of killing virus' and bacteria within 90 seconds. Microfiber towels (380 GWM or greater), and spray bottles (32oz.) primarily. Other products may be introduced as necessary.
Where do we get the products and tools?
Compass will provide the proper products and tools to be used by your staff at a reduced cost to you.
What is chlorine dioxide?
Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is a yellow-green gas with an odor similar to chlorine with excellent distribution, penetration and sterilization abilities due to its gaseous nature. Although chlorine dioxide has chlorine in its name, its properties are very different, much like carbon dioxide is different from elemental carbon. Chlorine dioxide has been recognized as a disinfectant since the early 1900s and has been approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for many applications. It has been demonstrated effective as a broad spectrum, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal agent, as well as a deodorizer.
What is an electrostatic gun? Why is it important?
An electrostatic gun is simply a device that vaporizes liquid into tiny droplets and infuses those droplets with an electrical charge. The importance of this process for the delivery of disinfectants and other agents is in the coverage and size of the droplets. If you were to use a conventional sprayer, not only would the liquid droplets be larger, they would often bunch or pile up depending on the consistency of the operator's pattern of spraying.
An electrostatic gun charges smaller droplets with a positive charge. This effectively repels droplets away from one another, like two positive ends of two magnets repelling each other. However, like magnets, opposites attract. In this case the surfaces of a desk or phone or wall or carpet have negative or neutral charges which actually attract the droplets. This positive-negative reaction creates an even coating and ensures complete coverage of every surface in a building.
